Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services to provide leadership that sustains and enhances the district's strategic vision and to provide resources, services and information to the board of education, the administration, the staff, the students and the Howard-Suamico School District community in a positive and effective manner.

Belief Statement

  • All children can learn, some faster, some slower, but all can learn.

  • It takes a whole community to raise a child.

  • Openness to change creates and sustains personal and organizational health and security.

  • Effective organizations, especially those effective over time, are learning organizations.

  • Learning organizations are data driven.

  • You measure what you value.

  • Leaders initiate improvements in their organization.

  • Leaders must understand and adapt to the environmental culture of their organization.

  • Visionary leaders are paradigm breakers.

  • Leaders remove barriers that inhibit employees from successfully accomplishing tasks. 

  •   Change is inevitable.

  • The realization of failure is the first step to success.

  • Without risk, there cannot be success.

  • Quality employees must be hired to sustain a healthy organization.

  • All members of the organization have the right to find meaning in their work.

  • Employees want to contribute, be responsible, and achieve at high levels, and will if given the opportunity.

  • All employees deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.

  • Everyone in an organization should be encouraged to enhance, extend, develop, and personalize the district vision.

  • All practices, policies, decisions, and actions need to be based on what's best for the client.

  • Accountability cannot be delegated.
