Giving Tree

Thank You

The Giving Tree would like to thank the Howard-Suamico community for all their support with time, money, and service for our 2013 Taste of the Villages Auction.  There have been many individuals, groups and companies who have played a big part in helping us have such a successful eventThank you especially to 1951 West, Thornberry Cottage, our main sponsors Fox Communities Credit Union, Pioneer Credit Union, Associated Bank, SMT Machine & Tool, HSBPA,  and Sanimax. A big thank you to Canterbury Farms for the gorgeous centerpieces, Tom Monahan, our auctioneer, and Sarah Thomsen, our M.C. Thank you also to all our volunteers and the Howard-Suamico community for their ongoing support and value in helping our children and families with their basic needs. As we have stated before, it takes two villages to raise our children. On behalf of all our families who are registered with The Giving Tree, we are so grateful for your support.

Holiday Assistance

Together we helped 139 families including 339 children this holiday season!!!
The outpouring of donations was phenomenal.  Every volunteer and family that walked into the holiday store was overwhelmed by the amount of donations.

Thank you for donating gifts, for donating your time to volunteer at the store, and for continuing to support our students.

The Giving Tree Board decided to pilot the holiday store concept this year because we wanted to empower families and instill a sense of pride and dignity.  Well together we accomplished that!  Here are some of the comments made by parents:

"This (buying gifts for my kids) makes me feel capable."

"I loved being able to shop for my kids.
I was able to find items that fit their personality."

"Truly a huge blessing - you are making Christmas very special for my kids."

"I'm so grateful to have a chance to pick out gifts for my kids
                and I can afford them!"
