In recognition that the employees of the Howard-Suamico School District are the most important resource we have for providing a quality education program for the students and in order to assure quality human resources, it is the mission of the Human Resources Department to accomplish the following:
- Recruit and select the very best available candidates for all open positions within the District;
- Allocate/assign human resources in a manner which results in the greatest contribution to the instructional program while remaining aware of the economic parameters of the District;
- To provide an environment which optimizes staff performance and satisfaction;
- To promote and cultivate a collaborative employer/employee relationships that result in healthy and positive employer/employee relations;
- To support building principals and department and program leaders in their daily operations and, in particular, those operations that involve the application of Human Resources processes and procedures;
- To serve as the Board of Education and Superintendent's liaison to the various labor unions representing the District's employees;
- To provide quality substitutes for instructional and support staff, as needed.
